Overview

The history of Yakatabune dates back to the Heian period (794-1185) and the Edo period (1603-1868), where these traditional boats were used by nobles and merchants for entertainment.
From late March to early April each year, cherry blossoms bloom across Japan, attracting many visitors. The 1-kilometer cherry blossom path along the Sumida River near Asakusa Temple is a historic viewing spot. Taking a boat cruise is a unique way to enjoy the beautiful blossoms while savoring exquisite cuisine!

Friendly Reminder :
• Departure times for beef sukiyaki are: 11:30 AM, 5:00 PM, and 7:30 PM.
• Departure time for afternoon tea is 2:00 PM.
• Contact the activity provider 3 days earlier if you would prefer pork to beef or a non-strict vegetarian option (a meatless dish with vegetables and sweet soy sauce soup).
• Cherry blossom season is weather-dependent; we cannot guarantee peak bloom on every trip. Thank you for your understanding.

  • 11:30AM departure includes a Sukiyaki lunch,2:00PM ticket not include Sukiyaki, only afternoon tea .
  • Please arrive 15 minutes early. Late arrivals will not be accommodated

Rainbow Bridge (Pass By)

During cherry blossom season, a cruise on a traditional Yakatabune boat through Tokyo Bay offers a breathtaking experience. Along the shores, blooming cherry blossoms sway gently in the breeze, with delicate petals drifting onto the water, creating a dreamy floral carpet across the bay. In the distance, Tokyo Tower and Rainbow Bridge glisten in the golden sunset, and as night falls, the city’s twinkling lights blend beautifully with the soft glow of the cherry blossoms, reflecting off the shimmering water and painting a magical springtime scene. Please note that the timing of the cherry blossoms is influenced by weather conditions, and while we strive to offer the best viewing experience, we cannot guarantee the blooms will be in full display during every cruise.

Tokyo Tower (Pass By)

As the boat passes Tokyo Tower, you’ll be treated to views of this iconic 333-meter landmark glowing brightly against the evening sky. A symbol of Tokyo, its golden reflection shimmers in the bay, beautifully complementing the surrounding cherry blossoms—a truly captivating sight.
